Fediverse platforms allow you to export your data. I was wondering what kind of insights I can get from it.
Visualize your fediverse export data: https://fediverse-export-analyzer.stefanbohacek.dev
Currently supports Mastodon, Firefish, Friendica, and Pixelfed data exports, with more to come!
EDIT: I wrote a bit about the project on my blog: https://stefanbohacek.com/project/visualize-your-fediverse-export-data/
Because the export files are so different between platforms, the results will be also different. Here’s a few examples.
Mastodon’s export file contains the most details, including account information, and all of your posts.

Friendica also gives you a nice export file with more details, but unlike Mastodon, it doesn’t support embedding posts, so that’s one thing missing here compared to Mastodon.

Both Firefish and Pixelfed split their exports into multiple files, separating your posts from your account information. I wanted to keep the tool simple to use, so for now you will only see your posting frequency breakdown. And these platforms don’t support post embedding either, sadly.

I hope you’ll enjoy playing with this tool, and do let me know if you have any questions or suggestions!
