A few months ago I started a thread about creative fediverse communities. Creative in the sense of communities that follow some fun/creative rules, typically implemented as technical limitations. I think this is a great way to further extend the fediverse, and wanted to share some of my own ideas in hope that someone with more time and resources will pick these up.
- NightOwls.social: a community of people where posting is restricted to late-night hours in user’s location
- A fediverse version of This is My Jam
I might add more ideas, but for now, here’s a few that already exist, if you’d like to pay them a visit.
- oulipo.social: a community where the letter E is not allowed in your posts
- dolphin.town: here the letter is the only one that is allowed
- 500.social: a community where members pay $2 a month, and the membership is limited to 500 members
Know more examples or do you have any more ideas? Let me know!
One thing I'd like to see more of in the fediverse are creative and gimmicky (in a good way!) instances, like https://oulipo.social, where you can't use the letter E in your posts.
Are there any more good examples?
